Power: It's what we do, offer and strive for. We want to offer our customers an alternative with an efficient, renewable and durable source of energy onboard. This is what keeps us going and what GreenStar Marine passionately aims to deliver.
Imagine the feeling when a boat, from a simple turn on a knob, is propelled in absolute silence. This was once our vision, and now its reality. Statistics show that over 90 % of those who have once tried a maritime electric propulsion system will later install one. Today there are over 250 happy customers around the world who have chosen to replace their old diesel/petrol engine with an electric propulsion system from GreenStar Marine.
GreenStar Marine is continuously developing new products. We are now, together with the automotive industry, working on the new era of innovative propulsion systems. Development of both hybrid- and plug-in vehicles is moving fast, and we are just a small step away from creating the solution for a sustainable and even more fun boating experience.
GreenStar Marine has an expert group of developers based in our head quarters in Sweden. They are specialized in marine hybrid and plug-in electric marine propulsion, and their main task for the past 10 years has been to successfully develop efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for marine propulsion.
GreenStar Marine is a company that combines the groundbreaking innovations and patents of Swedish engineering with the American business spirit. We deliver the best possible propulsion systems to the most prestigious boat builders in the world.
It all started during the late 1990's, when a group of Swedish engineers started to develop a series of electric propulsion systems for the growing demand on the Swedish market.
The company received a lot of attention for the ability to deliver a system with high efficiency that offered the customer both comfort and safety. Stefan Larsson, founder of the company, also developed a technology that regenerated power while sailing, even with a folding propeller. This technology was later patented and is still used. It enables our customers to be energy self supplying.
In 2010 the Swedish group of engineers teamed up with an American entrepreneur and together they created a company that would meet the increasing demands that had been created by modern battery technologies. A growing awareness of environment and energy consumption worldwide also contributed to the success. GreenStar Marine's innovations have been rewarded at several boat shows for its environmental alternative of marine propulsion. Future looks bright and boat owners consider our systems to be reliable, comfortable and powerful.
